CULTIVATING NEXT LEVEL PLAYERS
The Hawai‘i Development League, HD League for short, is a 501(c)(3), Hawai‘i based basketball summer league created for the specific purpose of developing active basketball players in a competitive, high-level setting. Formally known as the NCAA Summer League, it features current professional, collegiate and high school talents. The HD League will provide a unique and up close and personal experience for the basketball fans of Hawai‘i.
Although we are fostering a very competitive and high level league, we are also fostering a healthy environment where it will be a fun and unique experience for all of Hawai‘i to enjoy.

2018 SUMMER SEASON
OVERVIEW
Featuring six men’s teams, and four women’s teams, the HD League will be run over three weeks at St. Francis, Manoa and Kilauea gym. Each team roster will be strategically put together to ensure that all games are as competitive as possible.
KICK-OFF & DRAFT
Prior to the start of the league, we will be hosting a “Kick-off” party on JUNE 22nd, where all sponsors, donors, coaches, and league staff will get together and enjoy a fun evening of food, drinks, and a newly incorporated, “Team Draft.”
LOTTERY
Using a lottery to determine the order, the Team Draft will give Team Sponsors the chance to play G.M., and choose from the pre-selected rosters, their potential summer team.
